Trying to build upon traditions we started Easter Sunday at home and let Jack play with the goodies he found in his Easter basket. This year he even got some candy, which (selfishly) was for Daryle and me to snack on when Jack’s not looking. Then we put our Easter pastels on and drove to my parent’s house to see the loads of bunnies on display. My mom loves Easter, it’s always so special to see every last one of the bunnies she’s kept safe from year to year from when she was a child, through my childhood, and now for Jack’s! We spent the afternoon in the art studio next to my parent’s home where there were plenty of stations for Jack to stay entertained. There was a sandbox which must have kept him busy for a solid hour! And an art table with paper and crayons. My mom dug out old 78’s so we could listen to my grandfather playing jazz drums with Billy Maxted’s band in the sixties. It was the perfect way to spend a(nother) rainy afternoon. Jack was happy and we were happy to have mimosa after mimosa, because, that’s just what you do on Easter, isn’t it? Yes, that’s Jack trying to drink from an empty orange juice container. Hope you had a happy Easter!
This time last year, look how little Jack was when we were away at the beach!
