We divided our time between visiting my dad and Daryle’s folks who live 1.5 hours away from one another. Daryle’s parent’s retired from Buffalo to a super bougie retirement community very close to the famous Villages (you may have heard of them). The retirement community has everything you could ever need, social clubs, pool, hot tub, palm-tree-paradise, tons of restaurants, movie theatres and shopping. Everyone drives around in golf carts to get from point A to point B, so to fit in, we took Daryle’s parent’s cart out for a spin and tour of the community. It really feels like a resort, everything is so clean and new and everyone is super friendly!

Every night, The Villages downtown area hosts live music, and booze. Retirees really know how to cut loose! Everyone dances and line-dances (even if it isn’t country music). It’s such a site to see. But it’s so fun and I’m really happy Daryle’s folks have found a place to retire with like-minded  people and so many cool things to do! Plus it’s fun for us to visit. Daryle and I even snuck away a few evenings once Jack was in bed and hit the hot tub which was dreamy and finally got to see Sky Fall (as I’m such a Daniel Craig fan!!!). We had the best time pretending to be retirees, kicking back and enjoying the sway of the palms.
