For Daryle’s first Father’s Day, it was easy figuring out how we should begin the day — visiting the local DC Record Fair put on by our friend Neal of Som Records and Kevin of DC Soul Recordings.

Daryle carried Jack and showed him the ways of finding a gem — still a mystery to me.

Though sometimes all you’re really looking for is a killer cover. :)

But Jack wasn’t always impressed.

at all…

The record fair was held at the The Fillmore — a new music venue in Silver Spring, MD. A DJ spun records as an old movie about Jamaican sound systems played via projector.

At last, Jack found the record he was looking for!

(Outside the Fillmore.)

On our way to my parent’s house we spotted a vintage 2002 BMW — hottt.

My brother and cousin Catherine entertained Jack.

And we ate Memphis BBQ…

and homemade individual cakes with ice-cream.

And Jack was happy.

And this is our family.
