My god, there are few groups that I love more than Daft Punk. Their album Homework has played a huge role in my life—I love it so much, I could die to it! As a classically trained musician growing up all the way through college (what happened?!) it’s funny that I also developed an ear for electronica, downbeat and IDM. So what really makes my heart swoon is seeing an orchestra and live chorus perform an arrangement of Daft Punk’s album Discovery. Cellos and French Horns are literally playing “One More Time” (you know you know that song!) and “Around the World (around the world).” It brings me back to the days when I played bassoon in orchestra. It was a special time in my life, I’ll never forget it. This arrangement is just bonkers. Watch and grin.

Performed by the 100% student run Trinity Orchestra at Trinity College in Dublin. Photo via Flickr. Video discovered through my old boss at Astralwerks.
