Andy Warhol Polaroids

I wish I could have caught this Andy Warhol show at Danziger Projects in person. The portrait-snapshots were taken between 1970 and 1986 on Warhol’s favorite camera—the Polaroid Big Shot. The camera had a standard fixed focal length, often used for everyday purposes like ID cards or passport pictures. The Big Shot captured these A-listers in a low-budget manner, creating an out of the ordinary way to admire these stars. How adorable was Dolly Parton? and Arnold—who-wah! and coy Debbie Harry—love her.

    • Hey Kristin, I would love to see those Warhold Polaroids! Man, I would love to go to Chicago too. Believe it or not, I haven’t been there since I was a kid. Ridiculous for what a cool town it is.
Hope to see you around—maybe DC? maybe Chicago!
