While spending a fair amount of time visiting Buffalo over the years, it isn’t hard to notice the incredibly beautiful architecture throughout the city. Many residents today still reflect how Buffalo was one of the richest cities in the country at the turn of the century with skyscrapers and gorgeous Tudor-style homes. But today, many of those fondly remembered buildings are in disrepair—some of which have tragically been torn down. I was struck when I came across this design series by Queen City Studio, a born and bred Buffalo-based design shop. They’ve got an excellent portfolio and a strong series of typography and graphic design using images of Buffalo landmarks. Visiting Buffalo you can really tell why people have so much pride; the stately architecture, the people are warm, the Blues are crisp, and the summers are to die for.
