Hot off the Mac, this is one of my favorite posters that Daryle designed for his gig (tonight) at Marvin. I love so much the sixties inspired minimalist layout and the colors beige next to dusty turquoise and mild yellow type. It’s real nice! If you are in a party mood, you should definitely stop by Marvin for some toe tapping vibes.

Next up, another goodie (also designed by The D.): The DC Record Fair is this Sunday from noon to 6pm at The Black Cat. The event is sponsored by two friends: Neal Becton of Som Records (the best rare + vintage record shop in the city) and Kevin Coombe of DC Soul Recordings (an organization that catalogs DC-area funk, soul and R&B from the sixties through eighties.). Both guys are DJs too, Neville Chamberlain and Nitekrawler respectively, so the digging will be chock-full of deep, hot finds.
