Ryan McGinley gets up close and personal with his models in his latest solo show Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere at Team gallery. It’s a distant change from his large-scale prints of twenty somethings frolicking in their birthday suits in partied out bliss. This time around, McGinley tests his fine art skills by taking black and white studio portraits of his subjects in the buff. The result is a beautiful series of people from across the globe in what McGinley calls their “defining moment” from the thousand or so photos he took of each person.

To see and read more about the exhibit, go to Team’s website. Or, you can view a couple dozen of the black and white portraits on McGinley’s website.

Images above are part of McGinley’s past work.
