Be still my beating heart. I have always been drawn to non-gessoed work on canvas. Although these figures aren’t on canvas—they still hold the same interest to me. I love how Finnish illustrator, Daniel Stolle uses the paper he works on as part of his subjects. There is something about the bull’s big sad eye staring right at you. I can’t get over it.
